1. WHAT IS THREADING?
A. Threading is an ancient hair removal technique that uses pure, thin twisted cotton thread which is rolled over untidy hairlines, moustaches and so on, removing the hair at the follicle level.
2. HOW DOES IT WORK?
A. Threading is by far the gentlest form of hair removal, the simple process involves a piece of cotton thread that is twisted & pulled along areas of unwanted hair acting like a mini-lasso, lifting the hair follicle directly from the root without the use of any chemicals or unnecessary tugging on delicate skin! We believe so strongly in this method that it is the only hair removal option we offer for the face.
3. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DO EYEBROW THREADING
A. 5 to 8 Minutes
4. DOES IT HURT?
A. It may sound painful, pain-wise, threading is comparable to tweezing. Perhaps the most unique part about the process is the way the thread feels on your skin.
5. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THREADING?
A. Threading has become a natural and the best alternative to waxing and plucking to get rid of facial hairs As opposed to waxing and other methods, threading has distinctive advantages as follows:
1. Relatively inexpensive and painless (doesn’t irritate the skin)
2. The effects last longer (removes hair from the follicle)
3. No adverse side effects as no chemicals are used
4. Takes less time to complete the job
5. More precise in giving desired shape and arch to eyebrows
6. Skin looks soft, clean and younger after work (no rough patches)
7. Less Redness and Irritation
8. Does not produce ingrown hairs
9. Can able to pull out specific tiny individual hairkin.
6. HOW LONG DOES THREADING LAST & HOW OFTEN I COME BACK?
A. Since threading removes each hair from the root, it lasts just as long as waxing. Of course, re-growth depends on how fast your hair grows, but generally our threading clients come, on average, every 2-5 weeks. Biggest advantage of threading is that the treatment can target even "peach-fuzz" & other short hairs (aka stubbles) that wax would not be able to get; so if you have a special event and just want a clean-up it is possible with threading!
7. WE NOTICE SOMETIME THE THREADING ARTISTS PUT THREAD IN HER MOUTH, IS IT SANITARY?
A. Yes, the THREADING ARTISTS uses her mouth to hold the thread taut for better accuracy, but this part of the thread never comes in contact with your skin.
8. I OVER-TWEEZED; HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BEFORE COMING THERE?
A. We recommend waiting 3-4 weeks after your "pluck fest" to come in for a visit. However if you find yourself reaching for the tweezers, please come in sooner! The beauty of threading is that even the shorter hairs can be removed while our Specialist can start threading your shape.
Please note: if you removed too many hairs, remember that not all stubbly hairs are bad - have patience & let those shorter hairs grow to their full potential before you decide the keepers from the strays.
9. I WANT TO GET MY FULL FACE THREADED, BUT WORRIED WILL THE HAIR GROW BACK DARKER?
A. No, since threading removes the hair from the root, your hair will grow back the same or less over time as the hair follicles weaken.
10. MY SKIN IS VERY SENSITIVE; WILL I GET RED FROM THREADING?
A. Everyone has a different level of skin sensitivity. If you find that you do have very sensitive skin, you will probably experience some redness after threading, but it usually subsides within an hour, unlike wax which can take days (since it literally removes your upper layers of delicate skin)! You may apply hydrocortisone cream &/or use ice after the treatment to help reduce redness. We ask to apply Cooling Gel after all threading treatments, which tightens the pores & naturally reduces irritation.
11. SHOULD I GET THREADED BEFORE OR AFTER A FACIAL TREATMENT?
A. In general, we recommend that you thread 24 hours before or after a facial treatment to avoid any reaction. If you must thread on the same day, we recommend threading after your facial treatment. However, if you have sensitive skin, please wait at least 24 hours if it is possible.
12. WHAT IS FACIAL THREADING VS FACIAL TREATMENT?
A. Don't get confuse between Facial Vs.Facial Threading, Facial Threading is name of our hair removal service which cover all area of your Face; including Eyebrows, Lip, Chin, Sideburns, Forehead, like Eyebrow Threading. While in Facial Treatment they use products to cleans, exfoliates and nourishes the skin but don't remove any Hairs from your face.
13. I HAVE A SPECIAL EVENT COMING UP ; WHEN SHOULD I COME IN FOR THREADING?
A. We recommend coming in for threading 2-3 days before a special event but don't fret, it is safe to wear makeup after threading & any redness usually subsides within an hour, so even the same day is ok for last-minute beauty visits! Make sure we only take walk-in , so you have to wait depends on Customer, specially weekend get more busiest.
14. I JUST HAD COSMETIC SURGERY; IS IT SAFE TO DO THREADING?
A. Since every skin is different, we recommend checking with your physician first, but yes, threading is safe to get after cosmetic surgery 3-4 weeks after the surgery, typically when your skin becomes less sensitive & has had time to heal.
15. WHAT IS HENNA TATTOOS?
A. Henna (other names are Mehendi, mehndim hina) used in hair coloring and skin staining products is made from the leaves of the henna plant, which are ground into a fine powder. The main ingredients in henna pastes are the henna powder, strained lemon juice, coffee or tea and eucalyptus oil. This paste when applied to the skin and left for a short period of time produces a temporary reddish brown stain that fades from the skin over days to weeks just as a tan would.
